It’s not working much in present days like it used to. I mean you can’t rank a site only submitting your site to directories. Though links from good directories such as Yahoo Directory, DMOZ are really powerful.

CommentLuv is a Wordpress plugin. Many people use it in their blog. If you comment in a CommentLuv Enabled blog, last post from your blog will be shown just below your comment. So, this way you will get 2 links from one comment, one from Name/URL field and one through CommentLuv.

If you have any doubt then search Google as “CommentLuv enabled blog list”. You will get list of blogs where this plugin is installed. You can easily find out how CommentLuv works by looking at few comments on those blogs.

Link building: this is very important. the more sites that are linking to your website the more important your website becomes. Its a sort of popularity contest. Google´s page rank system works by measuring this popularity and a the relevance of your pages with respect to a searches given search term.

Commenting on blogs with CommentLuv installed is a good way to get links to your inner pages (articles).

Make sure you actually read the posts and comment accordingly though - it’s extremely annoying for blog writers that take the time to write good posts and then just get a bunch of spam comments who are just looking for a free link (as I’m sure Chandan will testify).

Hi Ric,

Sorry for the delay in replying. For a new blog it will be better to build few links to inner page first. Once you built few links, start building links to main page. If you are targeting main home page, then build links to it continuously. Also remember to build few link to inner pages at least.

Great post! I am rather surprised that Nixerr has not been mentioned in this. Since I have joined their site I have received a lot of targeted traffic overnight not to mention 350 likes on my facebook fanpage in 48 hours. Basically this site allows you to sell your services or products while placing links to your site and information about your stuff. I have noticed a huge jump in my unique visitors rate since joining. Just type “nixerr” into google for their website.
