Where to Get Free Images For Your Blog?

When I started Blogging for the first time I was often getting problem whenever I had to add images to blog post. We can’t copy from other and then use it for us since it violates copyright policy. Even though I buy image for my affiliate websites it is not possible to buy images for each blog post.

I believe many are facing the issue. So, I thought to make a small post as a solution to this. Below are the few you can try:

1. Zemanta AddOn For Firefox: I have already written once about Zemanta  Addon here => Tips on Getting Free Traffic. This is a Firefox Addon that you can use to add beautiful images to your blog post. Just search for image using your keywords and then click on the image you want to add to your blog post.

2. Freebieimages Wordpress Plugin: This is really a cool plugin. Install it in your blog and add free stock images to Your blog post. You can search for particular image in the search box using your keyword.

3. Free Image From Dreamstime: You need to create account here to donwload image. Along with free image you can also buy and sell images here. Read their TOS before using it.

4. Stock.XCHNG: This is one more website from here you can download images for your blog for free. Moreover you can sell image there and make money. It is recommended to read their TOS before using.

If you want to buy photo then you can buy from IStockPhoto

Are you aware of any source? Then please include in your comment. Thank you :-)

I’ve had good success with Zemanta at finding useful images and related posts to share.

That’s a great idea. But I have a question for you, Is that legal way to get some pictures?

    • EarnMoneyOnlineHubber says:

Thank you Jacko for your question. Yeah, we can use the pictures until we use them according to their policy. Read policy once before using them for your use.

Free is always great but don’t overlook quality images. Flickr creative commons is really spectacular to find images which will catch the eyes.

You do have to link back to the original work but I always find that worth it if it helps to get people to click and read through your article.

Great idea but not sure about pictures, is it legal?

  6. EarnMoneyOnlineHubber says:

Yeah, it is legal. But make sure to read terms and condition before using.

    Finally someone adressing the issue!!
I spent much time searching for free images and stuck with flickr.com. Now I’ll check out the sites you suggest…thanks!

  8. HI, some of my post, i get link to flickr.com, that is true or not? thanks.

    • EarnMoneyOnlineHubber says:

Sorry I did not get the exact question. If you are referring to the picture we get through plugin then yes, we can use them. But make sure you have read terms and condition before using the plugin.

  9. I usually go for stock photos. A pack of hundred photos can be real cheap and you can add a bit of your graphics design knowledge to it to suit your needs.

  10. copyright laws applies not only in physical books and writings but in digital media as well.

    I personally use Stock.XCHNG

  11. Thanks!! I have been using Stock Xchange for free images, but they seem to have an awful lot of junk on there. If I need something of professional quality I only use iStock Photo, but that can get expensive. Didn’t know about the other two sites, but will check them out.

Thanks, this is a great list. However, I can say that i have never heard of the Freebieimages wordpress plugin. I will look into it some more and see about using it. Thanks again for sharing!

I am actually new to blogging and was not aware that it is illegal to use pictures you get from any site. I wonder if you acknowledge the photo owner would it still be illegal? Anyhow, i found this site http://www.freedigitalphotos.net and thought of using it on my next blog post.
